Antonia Saint NY Version 2.0 heels
Over a year ago now I wrote an article about my Antonia Saint NY heels. TL;DR of that article, I backed a shoe startup on Kickstarter, which promised the perfect fit for heels and flats that feel like sneakers inside. But once I got them, they were FAR from a perfect fit and extremely painful. However, Antonia Saint NY promised to do right by all backers and sent me a new pair of heels!
They did not take the old pair back because, as they were custom made, they could not resell it. So I have both sets of heels. I did try wearing version 1.0 heels, but it was a horrible mistake. I ended up having to walk bear foot back to my car because they were so, so painful. But version 2.0 fit great and feel great! Given my victoria heel 2.0 fit well, I was excited when I got a code from Antonia Saint NY for new orders. So I promptly went to their website to order a pair of flat. That is when I realised that the Antonia Saint NY that now exists that no longer the startup I backed. They seemed to have ditched their app entirely. If I was in New York, I could get my foot measured at their store. But I am not in New York, so the only thing I can do is fill out their questionnaire.
If I knew how to describe my foot or were confident with sizes, I wouldn’t have backed Antonia Saint NY in the first place! But I guess they concluded that the app, which was not great, was part of the issue with version 1.0. So now they are going back to standard sizing that you can vary slightly. That is disappointing but is expected.
None of the application of telemetry in fashion has proven the “real deal”. In the end, if you want a custom fit, you still have to go to your favourite tailor or cobbler. That said, I think the future is custom and on-demand! As for Antonia Saint NY, I will probably order another pair but once I have had a chance to take some measurements of my foot.
